Newbies texas-ace Posted August 22, 2003 Newbies Posted August 22, 2003 Ok guys, I have been using IWP for about a year now, and it serves most of my needs for one of my databases. I am using CDML on all of the other databases, so I am not a stranger to it. How much traffic can IWP handle simultaneously? I need to be able to accomodate site traffic of approximately 6 users, simulaneously, entering about 50 records each. Any knowledge out there that I can benefit from would be greatly appreciated.
Unable Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 How ScriptMaker reliant is your solution? That may be the key. ScriptMaker processes one event at at time and does not queue requests. Thus, it is possible for near-simultaneous requests for ScriptMaker events to not be processed. I am not familiar with how IWP handles an event failure, but surely you can test it by submitting multiple requests in a near-simultaneous fashion from six browsers and comparing browser responses with db activity. And you should test it several times in this fashion in a rigorous manner. Best of luck.
