Input date when field is modified

Hi,

I have a feeling this is probably very easy, but I can't seem to make it happen.

I'd like to create a field that inputs today's date when field "A" is modified. I'm not looking for a record modification date, just a field modification date. Any suggestions?

you can create a date field and then on the option part you can set the Auto-Enter as "Modification Date". So that when the current record was modified, then it will set the date as modification date.

Sorry for miss understanding your question, you are not looking for the record modification date. So, just forgot about my post, i think Lee have give you a good answer.
