FM web pages won't open

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have an internal website running for my company I have most of the webpages located on my webserver and all of the others that pertain to the Filemaker links they are on the FM server.

I have one user that if he clicks on a FM link he gets a page open but with errors, error and nothing is displayed on the page.

He is running XP pro and using IE v6.0 with all of the most recent patches. His is the only computer out of 70 or so that can not open up the FM pages.

Anyone have any troubleshooting solutions?

Thanks,

Jay

Has the maximum number of IPs been reached? That is 10 IPs in a rolling 12 hour period.

Good Luck.

Not that I know of. We are running FM 5.5 unlimited, and his problem has been going on for about two months or so. I even installed the Browser Modzilla to see if it was browser specific but Modzilla has the same problems.

Jay, are you using cookies? IE differs from other IE with cookie settings.

What sort of errors is he receiving?

As for the cookies if you talking about the IE cookies I have deleted those already by going into my browser and selecting tool/internet options/delete cookies.

As for the error I will make sure I write it down when I go out to that office again. Like I said it's really weird if I just put my mouse on the link I do see the correct URL in the status bar but when I click it, it's just a blank page, and it's only the FM links the other html links work fine.

Is not about deleting them -- cookies. It is about how the IE is receiving them it may refuse them.

So if your solutions rely on cookies, this maybe the case. 5% chance.
