Newbies Taylor Posted December 24, 2003 Newbies Posted December 24, 2003 Hey Everyone, I'm trying to connect to a local database from a remote location. I downloaded the FM Server and figured I'd give it a shot. It's REALLY slow. I'm not sure if it's the design of our database or if it's just the nature of so much data going over the connection. Both ends have either DSL or Cable for internet access. Are there any tricks to speed FM Server up? Thanks!
Anatoli Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 It is amount of the data. It will be faster with data and design separated or over HTML/CDML. Or use Terminal services..that works from 64k OK
R2D2 Posted March 27, 2004 Posted March 27, 2004 Ummm... What do You mean by "data and design separated" ? How can I do that ? Arttu
