Whenever I open my database it displays a message in an alert box then carries on to open the file,it flashes too quick to read,any ideas what its all about?

Hi, 60! Hard to say w/out more info but check to see if you have script auto-launching on OPEN... maybe it's a bad script step. Or maybe it's a setting that it can't do like trying to use a missing/inactive plug-in or can't share because of x, y, or z, or maybe it's set to share over AppleTalk and you have AppleTalk disabled or it's set to share over TCP/IP and you have no valid IP address? Sorry, ad infinitum as you see. Of course, there's always a video camera and the pause button if it really bugs you, eh? --ST
