Horizontal Portals

Featured Replies

If anyone is interested, I have attached a file demonstrating one way to do horizontal portals in FM7. By defining multiple portals horizontally next to each other, each one with only one row and setting the initial row larger each time, a horizontal portal is created. By creating a key that can be scripted, scrolling can occur. One must be careful with the sorting though so pay attention to my sort records in the relationship definitions. It did not seem to work as well when I sorted in the portal dialogue.

CHEERS.

BTW, this was created with FM7 trial version.

There is something wrong with the attachment link. You can't actually download it.

Ya know how you can put a field with repetitions on a layout and specify which repetition you want to view?!

I wish the same was true with related fields if a field is related allow you to show the record from initial row that you choose - WITHOUT the need to place the field within a 1 row portal. It would simplify layouts!

Anyway just a thought.

can you script portal repetition? That way you could 'scroll' through the records.
