Newbies Hillary Posted April 20, 2004 Newbies Share Posted April 20, 2004 I'm researching what would be my first web-published database and my first foray into FM 7, and I cannot find out if Filemaker's site is misleading or accurate when it states: "Web users see a familiar, intuitive FileMaker interface within their Windows or Mac OS X browser" Does this really mean that pages published via FM 7 Server Advanced cannot be used by OS 9 web browsers? It doesn't make sense that that would be the case, but I need to find out because most users at my company still use OS 9. Thanks! jfmcel
Just checked and it appears that at least a reasonable subset of IWP functionality is available to OS 9 IE 5.0 users.
Doug Leib
I haven't tried this but I'd expect it would. After all... the client may even be using non-macintosh platforms. You might check for a technote at FMI on the subject.
Newbies Hillary Posted April 28, 2004 Author Newbies Share Posted April 28, 2004 Thanks for your advice. I'm a newbie though - what is FMI? I've been all over the Filemaker site...
