Is there a plug-in or a way to make a script so the pictures are automatically inserted as a reference to the file?

Is that a plug-in? Anyway ... inserting an object doesn't really work for me, since I need to make a script for inserting just the reference to any file, and not just to the file specified when the script is defined.

I was thinking on something similar to the option added in FileMaker 7 laugh.gif when defining the "insert picture" script step: it gives the option of having the "store as reference to the file" checked by default ...

If you're a mac user, there is the option of using AppleScript to insert your image.
