Aussie John Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Not sure what is going on here. I have a file where I cant delete any records. I have full access and the options to delete are available. I do the delete all records and nothing happens. I have also created a clone and that doesn delete either. ideas appreciated thanks
Ender Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Check the permissions on the file. Make sure your OS X account has read/write access.
Aussie John Posted April 29, 2004 Author Posted April 29, 2004 Yep permissions are fine. Everything looks normal, menus come up only the file(s) remain after deleting Wierd
Vaughan Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Try making a new record and see if you can delete it. You've probably tried restarting the computer... Are you using the trial version? It may have expired.
Aussie John Posted April 29, 2004 Author Posted April 29, 2004 Hi an update. I have determined that the record was created with a script, (cant be deleted). A record created from the menu can be deleted. I looked at the script and removed "commit record/request" which was at the end of the script- now they can be deleted. The original records still dont delete. As a test i created a new script (paraphrased) <<New record Commit record>> These new records wont delete either. FYI Restarted, ram permissions, rebuilt directory and am running regular version
