When I try to formate a Number field as a Percentage the number comes out huge?

Example:

Field 1: Formated as a percentage

when I go to type a number like 20 in it comes out 2000% why?

I just need 20%

You have to type it in as a decimal i.e. .20 (100% = 1.00).

Hi Joseph,

I see you use V7, so there may be a Get Function that will do this for you better.

In v6 and before, we used to do this trick with phone numbers.

It takes two fields, one for entry and one to do the math.

That's what percent MEANS. 5/100 == .05 == 5%.
