Is there anyway to have a mouse over field - that maybe opens up a text field so all is seen rather than clicking....

As far as I know, there is no native way in FileMaker to do what you want to do.

Here are two files that show how to do a work around.

'ClickTips' - Pop-Up Help Feature for Layout Objects By: Ray J. Cologon at:

There may be a Plugin available somewhere that can do this, but I'm not aware of it.
