I am using filemaker 3.0 with a server, windows xp. I have my data on a server, use "hosts" to open from my workstations. On one workstation the "find" button does not work. Nor does the enter key, or Menu/select/perform find. I have uninstalled the software, reinstalled it, and rebooted.

What else should I look for? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Don! The problem is only on that 1 workstation and fine on other workstations w/similar setups wrt OS, version, etc.? Odd... I have no idea, but if you want wild guesses to check on...

-- make new, near-empty db w/no passwords and see if problem persists (both locally and remotely)

-- if that station hosts, see if it gains full access

-- if that station hosts, see if other stations' access is ok

-- check language/character set issues

-- try moving station to different node and IP

-- search for duplicate installations of filemaker and eliminate any possible conflicts

-- see if user station logs in as has full admin/write privileges

That's some off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are other potential hazards...
