Self-Join to display all records in a portal

Featured Replies

Is it possible to create a self-join relationship within the same file to display all the records of that file in a portal?

I want the portal because I want to use navigation buttons on the left side of the screen and you can't do that in list view.

I've tried to create the self-join, by matching one field with the same field in a second occurance of the table: Projects to Projects 2.

Not sure where I'm going wrong. I got it to work once, which is puzzling.

Use an X as the operator when creating your relationship. This creates a Cartesian join, where all records are related to all others in both tables.

Thanks, worked like a charm.
