i have a system set up with about 100 users. There is a pop up list that can be viewed fully on some machines and gets cut in half on other machines. So, some users can view all of the data and others cannot see the whole name.

IE in a company database this looks like this

Johnson, James if viewed correctly. some users see

Johso

If you have 30 Johnsons this becomes difficult.

Is this a windows problem, filemaker problem? Any solutions to fix this?

This is the first time I've heard of this complaint. You'll need to do a lot more digging. Which operating system (or all) does it happen one? Any other conditions consistent between malfunctioning machines?

you might want to make sure the value list is on the left side of the screen. I know the LENGTH (how many items show) of a value list is related to the length of the layout, maybe that will help.

off topic but related,

be carefull using value lists with elements greater than 50 characters or so. I have seen that crash a system.
