Portal Highlighting driving me MAD

Featured Replies

See attached

I want to be able to highlight specific people in specific companies. The problem is if a person belongs to more than 1 company it falls to bits.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can make this work? Basically if the number in gSortFirst is the number of the contact for the specific company which should be at the top (sorted) and highlighted?

Thanks

Hmm...

No solution unless a script on Record Navigation, which would fill a "real" global gCurrentFirst, from which your calc would be

That's one drawback of the Multikey solution vs a join file.

Or am I missing something. Possible, brain-dead today.

why would u need to highlight them?

....use the portal...all listed in portal will "show only related"

so, looking at the Company file's portal will reflect all its contacts....

Highlighting, in this case has no use....

unless u want to highlight those workers that are also associated with some other company than currently viewed?

in this case u would be looking for "duplicate" entry of the same person in Contacts file and mark/highlight both of them (original and duplicate)....show this "mark" field in portal so from which-ever company's perspective you look the Contacts list ...u would see those Contacts that have "connection to some other company than one currently viewed"

All the best!
