Okay I have a file which is basically a relationship between 2 contact IDs.

So the file format is basically

ID1

ID2

NoteConnection

What I want to do is to be able to list:

ID1 - ID_A - ID_D - ID_F

- ID_E

- ID_B

- ID_C

- ID_D

All the contacts that are related to that contact and the contact related to that contact and so on and so on up to 6th one.

How is this possible?

Any help on this would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi,

As long as these contacts have one parent only (working for one company only), you may build something with recursive relationships, or some multi-levels hierarchy structure.

If not, it's still possible but would need much more work and scripts.

Make a search for "Recursive" or "Multilevel" and you might find something.

I'm specially thinking of a file by Bob (Weiver) but the MultiLevel example I posted a while back may as well be of help.

One solution I am working on is having 6 portals in a row parallel and on click on one of the row in the a portal the next one displays the known contacts for that one.

However!

My file contain 2 ID, ID1 and ID2

For contact 1234:

ID1 | ID2

1234 | 1111

1234 | 2222

1234 | 3333

4444 | 1234

the ID could exist in with one of the fields how do I get around relationships where it could be in either?

Thanks
