Finding text within a string

Featured Replies

Can't seem to find the right function for this: I need to find within a text field if the word "electronic" exisits. The field may hold up to 100 words and characters. The Extact function does not seem to work on this.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Hi KnightShift,

You are right, the Exact Function will not do what you are wanting.

I think the pattern count is what you are wanting.

PatternCount(Text Field, PatternWord)

If not, maybe a little more detail on what you are after will help us.

Position( TextField, Pattern, 0, 1 ) may be faster in this case.
