imz
Hi there, I have got a rather tricky problem to solve - I hope you have some good ideas to improve the performance. My database consists of huge a lot of different tables. I need to show two of them in two different windows, each layout showing several portals linked to other tables. (Between the data of the two windows there is a 1:n relation - that is the reason, why I cannot show all of the data in one single window.) To navigate in the first window I created some navigation buttons that call a refresh-script to always show the correct data in the second window. This procedure takes a very long time, because to show this data I have to use a search. I found no way to apply the much quicker "Show related records"-function, because this does only work in the same window or in a new one, but not in an already existing window ;-( Anyone with a great idea? Thanks a lot and best greetings, Bernhard

imz
Okay, last try: Is there really NO ONE with any idea to solve the multi-window-problem I described?
Ugo DI LUCA
Hi, If I undersand, window 2 (Table2_view) should reflect your moves in window 1 (Table1_view). Then why not simply : 1. add a global field gID in Table 2, 2. add an occurrence Table2_link 3. Link Table2_link to Table2_view by gID=ID 4. Pass the global to Table2_link and perform your GTRR from there.
