chevell Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I think I already know the answer to this but, I have just converted a fully working FMP 6 Unlimited Soution to FMP 7. I went to turn on the Web Sharing and see only IWP is available. Is there no way to offer simple HTML web pages with CDML links directly using FMP? Thanks in advance!
Atalanta Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 What about PHP? Ok, I'm using 5.5 but I'm doing FMWebschool's PHPin8 hours "course" and it's really helping me learn PHP. How is CDML obsolete? (not knowing anything about CDML is why I ask)
Garry Claridge Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Plug-ins for this may be available. Good Luck. Garry
FMWebschool Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 The web publishing engine that CDML once used is no longer in existance. Basically the only way to do custom publishing with FileMaker Server Advanced is either PHP or XML. FMS7A has a built in translator to translate your CDML pages to XML/XSLT. We prefer to use FX.php or CAFEphp. We miss CDML as well. CDML was simple and easy to work with. In Kindness
