This should be simple and maybe is... I'd like to be able to go directly to any record without flipping, scrolling etc. - i.e., go to record 66553. How?

Create a button script with:

Go To Record/Request/Page [by number ]

And don't specify 'without dialog'

This will pop up the record selector indicator in which the User can enter the number they want to jump to.

You can also click on the number in the status area, type in the desired record number, and press Enter.

I never think about that because (unless I'm working in a solution), I never have that silly thing displayed.

Thank you so much - both suggestions worked great!

JT's method also works in layout mode. Very convenient when you have more layouts than can fit in the display and know roughly where the layout you want is located.
