I am trying to create a calc field or sum field that would add the total points for each racer in a bike race. Each individual race results are reached thruogh sorting. I have attached the file. Any help would be appreciated.

No file came through but in general this is a good use for a summary field. An example use would be for a table with many records with a field for Point (number) and RacerID (number) you could create a summary field sum (Point). Then you would perform a find for the data you wish, sort by RacerID, create a field that would give you a page break for each unique RacerID, place summary field in a subsummary part choosing the option for page break after each RacerID, find the records you wish to view/print, sort by the field selected in the subsummary part and print or view in preview mode. Enclosed is simple example to get you started.
