Creating and managing user accounts/records online

CMSI has Server Advanced 7 on an X server. I have looked at the post here. There seems to be problems with logging out ect.. and people who use an exact match find to allow user's access (this is what we did with our 4.0 filemaker).

We need a way for customers to create their own accounts to be able to create and update their own records only. This needs to be secure. Should I keep using the exact match find or use filemaker accounts? I would gladly buy a solution for this. I have toyed with using two files. One with guest access and one that requires a filmaker account that allows access to the account's records only. The problem I have with this is I have to create the accounts in batch on the server using a scheduled script. I would like this to be interactive, but there seems to be problems executing a script in another file via IWP. Also there is that logout problem.

any help is greatly appreciated.
