Scriptology by John Mark Osborne

Hi Frank,

Scriptology is no longer in print. frown.gif There has been a notice on Scriptology's site for a couple of years now about a revision coming out, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The current edition was written for v3/4 users, and can be beneficial up to a point, but a lot of functions have been added since it was published, so I'm not sure just how much help it would be for someone new to FileMaker and starting out in v7.

Occasionally, a copy is offered on Ebay for sale, but it is rare, so you would need to check every couple of day or so in order not to miss it.

For a spin on this, you may want to look at some of the video based training being offered out there.

FMPtraining have a set of 8 CD's each dedicated to specific areas of FM7.

Check here for some reviews on the CDs by FMPug members. They got a copy of the CD (or book or application or site/developer plug-in license) to keep for performing the reviews.

See, so many benefits of FMPug membership. Plus we have a special running with FMPtraining right now for FMPug members who buy the full set of CDs. Oh, and did I mention we are giving away 4 days of training with FMPtraining in June ($2000 value) to one lucky member in exchange for a review of the class.

FYI: I noticed that there's a copy of Scriptology on Ebay right now.
