DESCRIPTION

DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC) is a rapidly expanding biotechnology company located in Fairfield, OH. We have an immediate opening for a Database Programmer in our Information Systems department. DDC uses primarily Apple computers for servers and desktops, and FileMaker Pro as the primary database system. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual ready to combine their database and programming knowledge/talents to build creative solutions to improve business process flows.

REQUIREMENTS

*Excellent knowledge of normalized data structures

*Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented with strong work dedication

*Ability to comprehend, analyze and communicate the 'big picture' of progamming to others

*Work effectively in a team environment, and have the ability to work individually as needed

*Some programming background. C++ / Java a plus

*FileMaker experience a big plus

*Previous FileMaker Plug-In creation with C++ a plus

*Apple computer and AppleScript experience a plus

Duties and Responsibilities (primarily utilizing FileMaker Pro 7):

*Build and modify data structures

*Create layouts for the user interface

*Build and modify Scripts in ScriptMaker

*Implement security structure with LDAP and group Account Privileges

*Work with a team environment to gather user requirements and present suggested solutions

*Document system architecture and business process flows
