It used to be in FileMaker 6, you could enter the IP and Databases name of the FileMaker file you wanted to open in the browser such as "fmp5://somehost.com/myFileMakerFile.fp5"

I wanted to know if this problem in 7 has been fixed. I tried using fmp7://somehost.com/myFileMakerFile" but all this does it open my FileMaker Pro 6 application.

I also tried fmnet:/somehost.com/myFileMakerFile which shown in the Open Remote... dialog box and did not get any further.

Has anyone managed to get this to work?

It works on Windows, Macs I don't know about. The syntax for Windows is:

fmp7://10.20.30.40/DatabaseName.fp7
