May 10, 200520 yr Hi! I made an application that is intended to be send to user via internet (16Mo) since it's kinda big file to download with a 56k, I thought, I could set the application so the user could run it directly from our website. I uploaded my standalone solution onto my web server, but I get an error, I can't access to the folder where the application is. Is there any compiling I need to do in order to be able to uswe it on a website!? will 2 or more users be able to use it at the same time? Thank you!
May 10, 200520 yr You could put the files in a folder that is accessible from the web but: - the users would still need FM Pro to run - only one user at the time can use it - anybody can take your files. Best to host the FM7 files on FileMaker Server 7 and configure your firewall to allow data traffic to the FMS box. Your files will be more secure and many users can access it at the same time. Integration with your website will be hard though unless you want to use Instant Web Publishing.
May 11, 200520 yr FM hosting sites are available. So you could use one of these to host your database. Good Luck. Garry
