Newbie question I suppose, have tried searching but no joy...

I'm using FMP7 to implement a fairly large database. At the moment, the form for entering information is 11 pages long when printed. In Layout view, the mouse wheel scrolls up and down the page (using FMP7 on Windows 2000). However, in Browse view the mouse wheel scrolls through records rather than up and down through the current record. Is there any way to change this - at the moment it is extremely easy to scroll to a different record and not realise it, thus entering information in the wrong place!

I just did a Search of all forums using your keywords and found a couple of good replies to this problem.

One of the hits, with the subject of: [color:"green"] Newbie Question - Scrolling has a link to this Mouse wheel Thread, which I believe has your answer.

If you are using windows I have a solution for the Mouse scoll issue. I've use the Logitec mouse program. Install it then define your scroll wheel (middle button) to invoke the <Shift> key when depressed. By clicking the mouse wheel you can toggle between scrolling your layout of scrolling through records. you should be able to download it here: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/CA/EN,CRID=1792,contentid=8775

I have also attached the file. Good luck. Ron

Also if you just hold down your shift key and scroll your mouse wheel it will have the same effect.
