Søren Dyhr Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 But you can pull twice the current, without blowing any fuses ...correct me if I'm wrong they have electric cookers over there, as I recall it??? A lot might have changes since 1976 when I went there, but imagine the entire continet on gas cookers??? Well I'll learn in august, am I getting to DEVCON ...should I expect lukewarm food?? --sd
comment Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Voltage being a constant, the current would be a function of the dog's resistance. I presume such circuitry would draw significantly less power than a cooking device, but by August it should be nice and crispy.

It sounds like you're now considering serving her at DEVCON. You probably thought she was one of those little yap-dogs with a bow in her hair (and a high-pitched irritating bark) but Ginger is half Chow and she'd eat your faces off with a word! Besides, if I can't go to DEVCON, neither can she (toasted or otherwise).
Søren Dyhr Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Besides, if I can't go to DEVCON, neither can she (toasted or otherwise). Oh dear! Has all these intermezzos regarding a shipping system been in vain, can't it handle the shipping of a roasted half Chow ...if you wrap it alumiumfoil, could it posibly maintain 80% of the temperature from the roasting process, at arrival in Phoenix ...and if you unplug it just before it gets tender might I in my hotel room replug it and continue the process ... --sd
LaRetta Posted May 31, 2005 Author Posted May 31, 2005 Are you totally nuts, Soren? You're already thinking about dinner at DEVCON? If I got to go, the last thing on my mind would be food ... or sleep either! I'd be devouring FileMaker 24/7 straight while there!! You know the type ... the last dog to die, the one running through hotel lobbies and hallways after normal people have quit for the day - looking for someone still alive and kicking that will talk FM? Dinner, my but_!
comment Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 Who's talking about dinner? All he ever asked for is a hotdog.
