contains?

simple question here...

if i want to set an "if a field contains this word, then set another field with this word," how do i make the script understand "contains"?

The position() function works well for this.

case ( position ( Field; "text"; 1; 1) ; "text" )

Try something like this:

Set Field [TargetTable::TargetField; If(patternCount(SourceTable::SourceField; "bananas") = 1; "Fruit"; "Not Fruit"]

This will make the target field say "Fruit" if the source field says "bananas" otherwise it will say "Not Fruit".

The PatternCount function searches the text for an occurances of the sequence of letters that spell "banana". If it finds only 1 occurance then it validates true. Anything other than 1 will validate false.

I'm working with countries and regions, the former being a pop up list and the latter a radio button set. I want to build it so that if a user selects argentina, then the region latin america is automatically filled in the radio button set.
