Is it possible to have a field auto-shrink (reduce to fit) text to fit the allocated text box?

The container field does this with images, but I haven't seen a way to do this with text fields.

Not the way you have described.

By the way, when you have a Container field apply Shrink, Expand, etc to your Container field, it applies the same process to all images placed into that field.

Are you referring to the Format -> Sliding/Printing options?

Nope.. I think Sliding only reduces the white space.

I have a text box that has a specific size and area in the layout, and that size and spot cannot move (to keep it all aligned exactly)

So I want the text to shrink the "font size" so the Text in that box fits.

It's similar to Excel's "auto-shrink to fit" format of a cell.

Sorry, there's way to do this in FM5/6, and no easy way to do this in FM7.
