go to layout when certain data is entered into field

how is this done? i have a database showing 2 types of disbursements - expenses and purchases. if the entry is an expense, it should proceed with a certain layout, if a purchase another layout.

I use FM7.

If Disbursement is selected via menu or radio button/check box, you can make the field a button attached to an appropriate script. Note that you will need to disable entry to the field, so users will not be able to tab into it, only click on it. Which type do you have/want?

In attachment click at "Change layout" field

Lists do not work well on Windows, aaa. See what happens if you click on the field and do not select a value within 2 seconds? Using a menu and setting the Pause for 1 second (which actually pauses indefinitely, until a selection is made or the layout is clicked on) works much more nicely.

Will try that, Queue. thanks

Btw, I used a pop-up list.

You can use a list, but it is not as reliable and can cause more frustration than using a menu. Just be aware. :)
