With Version 8 does Filemaker update relationships that in previous versions would be broken if you renamed a file. I know you used to be able to do this thru developer, do you have to do it now using FM 8 Advanced?

I don't know for sure since I haven't used FM8 yet, but if you are in seven and want to go to eight you should be redoing all your projects in one file anyway. That was the crowning achievement of 7. But yes I do see some situations where you would need separate databases.

Yes, file renaming is in Advanced under Tools, and you'll need to use it to rename files.
