Adding Text Formatting

I'm new here. I've searched the forums and FM Pro 6 documentation for this answer, but I haven't hit on the answer, yet.

We have a database with about 1000 records. We need to generate a report where some of the fields of select records need to appear bold and italic. The rest of the records need to keep the regular format. The records requiring this format change as the project moves forward. It's quite a few records and comes up often enough that we would like an automated solution.

How can I bold, italicize the fields of these records?

I can do a find to show the records I want to change, but I couldn't find an answer on how to add the formatting. I did find several answers on removing formatting.

This is FM Pro version 6. We run cross platform, but the solution would only have to work on Mac OS X.

Thanks, Chris

Chris, I do not think formatting can be done on FM6. In FM7 the functionality was added.

As mr vodka says, it could be done fairly easily in 7. In 6 you could do it with transparent background overlaid calculation fields, which only evaluated to true for your conditions. The calculation field would have the formatting, and only show if true. But that could be pretty tedious. You would have to be able to calculate which records needed formatting.
