new window script

Featured Replies

When I click the button to run my new window script it opens a new window but then resizes my main window?

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Thank you for your help.

Just one of the wonderful things about windows :

I suppose you might be able to add a few script steps to fix this, but I don't know if it will work. You can try:

Adjust Window (Size to fit) on your main window, then do a select window on the one in front. That might work.

This is the best fix I've found so far when you want the main window to remain semi-maximized.

Freeze Window

Adjust Window [Maximize]

Move/Resize Window [Current Window; Height: Get(WindowHeight); Width: Get(WindowWidth); Top: 0; Left: 0]

New Window [{your parameters}]

If you have a script close the new window, then it can maximize the main window again.

Anomality - you rock! thanks for passing along this script. It just made my day. -jdawg

haha, he called you "Anomality"

I've been called much worse in the past.

I've had this problem in the past.... thanks for the tip Anomoly... bizzarre windows stuff! ???

Brilliant... even if it is last year's news. I'm new to Windows world and have been pulling my hair out over this irksome little detail.

Hoping for an app fix someday soon(8.5???)
