Photo Printing with FM 4.1

I use Filemaker 4.1 to print photos on a form that I created. Suddenly I am getting JPEG error #53 in the photo container field. Anyone know what the problem might be? The photo files are JPEG's.

Thank you.

I don't see an Error 53 for FileMaker.

I'm not a Windows person, but this sounds like a System or Print Driver error. Did you have moved or deleted the file or folder that the Jpeg resides in?

No, the file is on a CD which is in the drive at the time.

So, and your point is what.

FileMaker, and/or your printer are not finding the file, most likely it's the path to the file.

I'm not very clairvoyant today, so I'm guessing that you created this solution using your Hard Drive, and then put it on a CD, and now you are trying to print directly from the CD where the path to the file has changed. In other words, your path was probably something like [color:red] C:yourfolder:jpeg file name, and now it is something like [color:red]D:yourfolder:jpeg file name.

Are you seeing the jpeg file in FileMaker on a different machine than what the file was created on?

A number of users of our software have seen the JPEG error #53.

In each case resizing the photo down has solved the problem.

Our users were using 5 to 8 megapixel cameras on best settings.

Sometimes it is the file size. Other times it is the resolution. Usually a combination of both.

Hope this helps.
