Printing an extra blank page

Featured Replies

In FMPro 7.03, I have a list of records, with a two-page layout - when I print them, I find certain records come with an extra, or third, blank page. This does not show up in preview mode, but only when I print, whether to a printer or to a .pdf.

Has anyone run into this? Many thanks,

I have experienced similar problems and usually it is connected with the "page break" settings in the part setup of the layout.

This has happened to me when my page layout runs over the dotted line in layout mode (dotted line indicating bottom of page).

Bring the body part (or which ever part appears last) up so that the dotted line disappears. If it's a two page layout the dotted line should only appear once.

No page breaks were set - the only part I had was a footer, also with no page break set.

But interestingly enough, when I deleted the footer, I got rid of the extra page problem.

Dotted line wasn't a factor in this case, as some records printed with the extra page, others didn't.

No extra returns at the end of the page?

I saw this same issue, I ended up redrawing the layouts in a different table. Maybe it was related to damaged layout objects etc. I couldn't ever figure it out.

Try drawing a new layout from scratch, don't cut and past the objects. It is painfull, but it worked for me.
