Ben Ball Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I am experiencing some very annoying flashing when I press buttons. (when a script works). Basically, I feel that if the script has a few steps within it, say subscripts, the problem gets worse. Flash flash flash. Is there anyway to stop this happening? Is it caused by scripts or is there something I should put in my scripts to stop it? Its really annoying!
Inky Phil Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Without knowing what script steps are being performed it is difficult to advise but try issuing a 'freeze screen' step at the start of a particularly 'flashy' script and see if that helps Phil
dwins Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 (edited) If this has to do with items on the header, It may not be the button you're clicking. Try this. Click the problem button and hold it to see which fields, or portals, flash, disappear. Give those fields a fill color. David Edited November 29, 2005 by Guest
mattc Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Hi Ben Just a silly one to check - I have just eliminated a similar problem when changing file layouts via scripting. This only happened on Windows clients (not mac) and turned out to be the maximise window script step. I have now removed this and kept certain files open (hidden) and have cured my problem. Just thought it might be worth mentioning. Matt
Ben Ball Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 Thankyou for all your responses there, but unfortunatley nothing seemed to work. Pretty much all fields (and there labels) will jump along with all the portals. The fill colour will make no effect unfortunately. Any other ideas?? Perhaps I need to write a script out??
Ben Ball Posted December 1, 2005 Author Posted December 1, 2005 Please view "script bug" post. I have attached one there.
