Elliot Jolesch Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I have used Filemaker 5 but am new to Filemaker 8 and am apparently having a brain freeze. I have created a db from an excel spreadsheet and have discovered that there are quite a few blank records. I have been unable to find a way to 'find' those records so I can delete them. Is there a trick to doing it or am I missing something. Thanks Elliot
Breezer Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 do a find for "=". Simply go to FIND MODE, type the equal sign "=" without the quotes in the fields, then hit enter. This will find all the records where all the fields are blank or empty. From there you can delete all found records.
Elliot Jolesch Posted January 4, 2006 Author Posted January 4, 2006 Thank you. I remembered it once you told me. EJ
