Mac FMP 8 crashes with Drop-Down Calendar

Featured Replies

One of our users is running FM Pro 8v2 on a G5 Mac with OS x 10.4.5

FileMaker consistantly crashes when the user puts their cursor into a date field that has a Drop-Down Calendar on it and then clicks somewhere else (e.g. desktop, another FM window, a button, etc.).

If they click a button it will perform the script up until the point of 'user-interface'. Meaning that it runs fine until the user has to click or type something.

This only happens on the Mac and with FileMaker.

Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas what could be causing it. I haven't moved the machine, changed memory or anything so I doubt it's hardware related.

Thanks

Could it be that you don't have all of the required Fonts Active for that machine?

How are these files being accessed?

Hi Lee,

thanks for replying so quickly. The font of the fields are all ariel and are installed on the machine. I don't understand how that could help.

As for the files, they are being served on another G5 Mac (OS X 10.3.9) on Server 8v2. I tried to replicate the problem with a local dummy file but I couldn't. Does that mean it's a problem with the server or the connection to the server? I'm still stumped.

Thanks again for your response
