I am running FMP Server 7 and wonder if I upgraded to Advanced, would I be able to access the database remotely with an FMP client or would it just do Instant Web Publishing?

FM Server by itself allows only sharing through the FMP clients. FM Server Advanced offers this plus web sharing capability.

So are you saying I could remotely access my FMP Server using a FMP client. I know I can do it on a local network, but externally? Do I need to forward a certain port?
