Delights Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I have a database for my work where i store data for appointments. I have a option where people are either "Renting", "Paying Mortgage" or "Own Home". Also a bit down the page there are other options if they are renting, for example if they are renting i need to find out household debt and deposit. What i was wondering was if there was a way of making so that; If radio box "Living status" = "Renting" then the other radio boxes (Household debt and deposit) are enable, else they are disable and grayed out so they cant be clicked. Is this possible ?
Lee Smith Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 It sounds like you are wanting to do something like this file demonstrates by John Mark Osborne called [color:blue]Visibility Click Here. You will have to do a search in the [color:blue]Resources for [color:blue]Visibility to find it. HTH Lee
Lee Smith Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 That's why they pay [color:blue]YOU the [color:blue]BIG BUCKS. :giggle:
Delights Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 The only problem is i am going to have a space on the page where these options would be and it would look silly. Maybe make them change colour, make them gray if it isnt available or something.
Inky Phil Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) You might consider having two almost identical layouts. One with the buttons active and one without and navigate to the relevant layout dependant on the selection rented/not rented. It means a different approach but it will give you what you want Phil Edited March 16, 2006 by Guest
Lee Smith Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) Maybe a flag under the field under the field, or close by, would suite you better. See my enclosed sample. Darkwander.fp7.zip Edited March 16, 2006 by Guest
