Need example of simple report

Featured Replies

I'm trying to construct a very simple summation-type report -- summing a designated account for a range of dates. I haven't found an example anywhere simple enough to get me past where I am. The ones I've downloaded haven't shed any light on what is obviously (to most) a fairly basic operation.

I've attached my 2-table, 1-script example, but if anyone knows of an existing simple one, please let me know.

Otherwise, I will certainly appreciate a little guidance.

Thanks.

I'm still a bit unclear but see if this is moving you in the right direction. You can't store globals in Find Requests. Check the changes in the Find portion of the script.

That did it!

I recall trying Items::StartDate...Items::EndDate at one point, but when FMP wouldn't accept it, I went over to trying to specify them inside the Find request -- which got me off track.

Now I'm back on track. I also cleaned up my sample file a bit so that it might be of help to others starting out.

Thanks very much for your help.
