Patron Saint of Chimichangas Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 (edited) Pardon if this is a silly question, but I've searched the forums, consulted my "Missing Manual" book and Googled the question, but can't seem to find an answer. Once we've created a button and assigned a script to it, is it possible to go back and edit the text on the button? It seems like that option should be available in the "Button Setup" dialogue box, but I don't see it. I'm using FileMaker Pro 8 Advanced on Mac OS X. Thanks in advance for any help! mz123 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 You could create a global field and place it over the button (the button itself would have no text) or you can use a merge field on the button. Then your script could set the global field. Would that work? Martha
IdealData Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 You need to be in TEXT edit mode to change the text on the button. On the tool pallette select the big "A". If you double click it you will lock text mode on. Click the pointer tool afterwards to return to "normal" mode if you do that.
