No sound alert using beep function

Hi,

Why I don't get any sound alert when I use 'beep' script step. My sound card & internal speaker are both working but I don't hear any beep from FM.

Any help would be appreciated.

hmmm... not a single reply or comment? It seems that beep function is a totally vanished feature... :)

It works for me. Although its more of the thunk sound than a beep. My guess is the the problem is more likely with your OS than FM.

My guess is that the system you're using has been set not to play any sounds. Just change your settings in the control panel (sounds and audio devices) on XP (no clue on a mac).
