I see this looking around Filemaker code

I understand it a paragraph char and researching further its not in the Ascci code chart..however I did find somewhere saying it was a ÿ

How would I produce it and what is its function when writing code.

It is called a Pilcrow Sign, and it is used for coding in a paragraph return.

Hi Rod, the pilcrow is an Operator in calculation dialogs and you use it within calculations (whether field calcs or script calcs) something like:

fieldName & ¶ &

" this is on another line"

Oh!! Welcome to FM Forums!!
