raingirl Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 I have a longer custom dialog message for my users. They can open the box bigger if they want to but let's face it, most of them won't do this to read the whole message. Is there a way to script the size of the custom dialog box so that it is the size I need it to be? Thanks
sbg2 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Not unless things have changed from v7 to v8. Why not pop-up your own layout with your message and use Pause/Resume Script to make the window quasi-modal?
Genx Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 True, it will even look semi decent on a Mac.
Ted S Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Another way is to modify your script so that you have a series of Custom Dialogs. Each one has only a sentence or two. I'm not a big fan of this method but it works.
SteveB Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Consider eith the Troi Dialog plugin or 24U Simple Dialog plugin. Both are substantial improvements over the Custom Dialog. Steve
SteveB Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Hey, Genx: you've been 17 way toooo long. If I have to age, so do you. Steve

Genx Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Besides, haven't you watched peter pan, you've just got to believe in fairies or something? :)
SteveB Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 As my ex-wife always complained, I lacked whimsey. I still do. Steve
Inky Phil Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 As my ex-wife always complained, I lacked whimsey. Steve Hey Steve Thank goodness it is your ex-wife who said that!
