September 14, 200619 yr I am not a database guy, i do not know databases at all lol. We have a small product/service that we (my programmer) developed in perl. It runs on a linux box on the network. It has a MySQL database that maintains a list of the customers, the expiration dates, etc. Currently, he created a simple web page with a login for our intranet, that we can go to and maintain the customers through a simple table. its very very basic. What i want to know, is there any sort of plugin that can be purchased or something that can allow us to create a relationship or a front end in filemaker for that database? I have searched around the web and all i have been able to find really is programs to convert from fmp to sql. Nothing to connect the two together.
September 18, 200619 yr The Actual Technologies ODBC Driver for Open Source Databases is what you need. Reaonably priced, works great. http://www.actualtechnologies.com/product_opensourcedatabases.php
