sending smaller files to printer

When printing certain layouts my database is sending large files to printers. over 1Mb which can clog up the printer.

Is there something in the layout that may cause this?

Its almost like its generating a high resoltion print, or maybe PDF before printing.

How can I make printing quicker? In some cases it can take over 5 minutes to print say 10 documents... no good to anyone.

Imported graphics?

Maybe some of the object on the layout came from higher resolution graphic sources.

Make copy of a suspect layout and strating trimming out the graphics. Unless it's a container with a high res graphic, of course.

There are'nt any graphics at all. This is my problem in understanding what it is??
