I need an info about that I think. I prepared a database and web pages. I want to put a copy of that database and files into another file to let another group use them. say that database.FP5 will be duclicated in the same server and will be running at the same time but how do the hml pages will understand their database?. changing the database name means changing all the links of all pages...

What should I do? is it the only way to change the db name and links or is there any other way ?

Ick... don't duplicate databases then share the different copies around. It's imposible to 'synchronise" the records together again later.

The whole point of sharing the databsae is to avoid this problem. Restrict acces for different groups with passwords.
