December 18, 200619 yr I was wondering if there is a way to search for similiar feilds in the find mode. i.e. The real name of the record is "stop and shop" but I wanna search for just "shop". Thanks in advance
December 18, 200619 yr I am confused. Are you trying to find words that are similar or searching for only one word in a field? Your post states that you are searching for a similar word, but your example seems to ask for something else? Am I missing something?
December 18, 200619 yr Author I am trying to search for a similiar word to the exact word in the feild. For example, if I am trying to find the category "Salt and Pepper" but I only know "Salt is in the category so I only search for the word "salt". Thanks again.
December 18, 200619 yr The default search is for WORDS that start with the search phrase. Searching for "salt" will find "Salt and Pepper", "Pepper and Salt", "Crackers and Saltines"... but NOT "Unsalted".
December 18, 200619 yr You've said the same thing without clarifying. If you want to search for records containing "salt", search for "salt". Results will include "Salt", "salty", and "Sea salt". This is not the same as searching for 'similar' words like "silt" or "malt". This type of search is generally harder, depending on the parameters.
